He Huan Shan is a 3,416 m mountain in Central Taiwan. Its peak lies on the boundaries of Nantou and Hualien counties and it is within the Taroko Gorge National Park. The meaning of its name is Joy Mountain. In normal days, people will drive up to Wu Ling (3275 m above sea level) and hike up to the peak. Please remember to put on sun block if you are hiking your way up. The UV ray is pretty brutal as you hike. During the winter season, you can also make your journey up to get the glimpse of snow.
