Day 0 (Singapore)
Get 3G Sim Card from Singtel, Starhub, M1 to use in Taiwan because budget airline timing is often very early (Reach Taoyuan International Airport at 6am). Taiwan Telco stores in Airport usually open from 8am. Get in Singapore so that you do not need to waste time to wait in the airport. Holiday time is precious.

Day 1 (Singapore – Taoyuan – Taichung)
Your professional and friendly driver cum guide will be waiting for you in Taoyuan International Airport. Your guide will drive you for a good local breakfast based on your preferences.

On the way to Taichung, you will visit 大溪花海, Ta Shee Blooming Oasis. Ta Shee Blooming Oasis, together with Hokkaido, are in the Top 10 Most Beautiful Flower Seas in the World. It is also the largest flower view that you can get in the Northern Taiwan.
What You can do at 大溪花海, Ta Shee Blooming Oasis?
1 – Participate in their seasonal activities. They have special activities such as Plantation / Theme Dinner / BBQ, Family DIY Activities etc.
2 – Using the flowers as your backdrop. Remember to turn on your camera flash for better effect.
3 – Eat the amazing Chocolate Lava Ball during your tea break.
After 大溪花海, Ta Shee Blooming Oasis, you will continue and stop at 慈湖, Cihu. Ci Hu is a beautiful lake which reminds Mr Chiang Kai Shek of his mother and thus he named it as the “Benevolent Lake”. Later on, he even built his house near the lake. Eventually, when he died, his house is converted into his tomb.
What You can do at 慈湖, Cihu?
1 – You must take some photos of Mr Chiang Kai Shek tomb.
2 – Make use of the amazing scenery of the lake as your photo backdrop.
3 – Watch their hourly guard changing ceremony.
Next, you will visit the earliest development place in Taoyuan, 大溪老街, Da Xi Old Street. This street is full of unique buildings with Greek and Roman designs. You should pay special attention to the buildings, pillar design when you are walking along the street. With its rich history, you will also be able to have a taste of many traditional Taiwan delicacies and see quite a few old temples.
What You can do at 大溪老街, Da Xi Old Street?
1 – Cool down and drink 呂媽媽豆花. The current boss is the 3rd generation. Can you imagine how good their soya bean is when they can operate for so long?
2 – You must also eat Tsai Kee (蔡記麥芽花生糖) handmade malt peanut candy.
3 – You must try 大溪豆干, one of the most famous food in 大溪. The most famous store is 老阿伯現滷豆干
Next, you will reach 内湾老街, Nei Wan Old Street, the home of Hakkas. Nei Wan Old Street is an old street in Hsinchu. Over here, you are able to see many traditional Taiwan old buildings that were built using red bricks and wooden planks. There are also many delicious Hakkas foods that you can taste over here.
What You can do at 内湾老街, Nei Wan Old Street?
1 – You can take a good look at their traditional red brick building.
2 – It is a must for you to eat 野薑花粽 (Dumpling) here. And of course, you must try the best one from 大嬸婆正宗野薑花粽.
3 – When you are in the home of Hakkas, you must try their 客家擂茶. 客家擂茶 is also very famous in Singapore. 阿珠擂茶 tastes good.
After Nan Wan Old Street, you will visit the dream place of 2 ladies, 尖石鄉薰衣草, Lavender Cottage. Lavender Cottage was built by two good friends who both had the dreams of starting a place far away from the city center to plant Lavender. Unfortunately, one of these ladies died and the other never relented in an effort to making that dream come true. Here you will find lavender essence, oil and plants. One of the best things to do here is having a taste of the delectable local cuisine. Visitors can also buy and send a postcard to their loved ones.
What You can do at 尖石鄉薰衣草, Lavender Cottage?
1 – You can enjoy yourselves with your family in this extremely relaxing, fantastic place.
2 – You must not forget to shop for some souvenirs here. (You can create and buy your DIY fragrant sachet)
3 – Photography Tip: Use the beautiful plants as your backdrop and remember to turn on your flash.
4 – Try their food here. Many people commented that their food is delicious. (You can use your entrance fee to offset the bill here) Top favorite orders have: Lavender Milk Tea / roasted Chicken Leg / Whole Chicken
5 – Spend 5 minutes to walk to the top of the hill to hang your wishes at the Lavender Cottage wishing tree.

Finally, you will stay at Feng Chia. Before going to sleep, you will have your dinner at the most famous night market in Taichung: 逢甲夜市, Feng Chia Night Market. Feng Chia Night Market has a huge variety of foods and shops. It is a place not to miss out on visiting, especially for shopaholics. No one trip to Taichung will be complete without visiting the Feng Jia Night Market. There are plenty of colorfully prepared snacks here, and in fact, Feng Jia is also a place to find some of the best street food, including Feng Jia Four-in-One (the mixture of jelly fig, tapioca pearls, Kumquat and lemon juice), Crepes, Charbroiled Pepper Bread, etc.
What You can do at 逢甲夜市, Feng Chia Night Market?
1 – If you do not mind waiting, you must eat 官芝霖大腸包小腸
2 – You must never miss out Korean style chicken from 朴大哥的韓式炸雞
3 – Want to try some creative food? You must try the food in The Baker 焙客廚房
